TBK Co., Ltd.

YUKI Production Engineering Division Joined in 2019

My hobby is going to the gym.
On holidays, I sweat at the gym to improve
my physical and mental condition.

I wanted to contribute to society as a company with the largest domestic market share

In my job hunting activities, I conducted corporate research centered on manufacturers in order to make use of the mechanical knowledge I learned at university. I found about our company when I attended a joint company information session held at the university. I learned that the market share of drum brakes, which are the main parts of trucks and buses, of TBK is the highest in Japan. TBK is also practicing quality-focused manufacturing and is highly evaluated by our customers. It seems that I can grow steadily and contribute to society." Trucks are an important item that supports logistics, and demand for our products should continue to be stable. I was also attracted to such a market environment.

Design jigs used in production lines

Since joining the company, I have been in charge of designing "jigs" used to improve workability in product processing. When there is an order from the site at the timing of new product development or improvement of the production line, I first go to the production site and investigate "What role does the jig play?" "What kind of process is the jig used in?". In addition, while referring to the requests and opinions of the site, I proceed with the design by making use of our own ideas. In the winter of the first year when I got used to work a little, I found it very rewarding when I designed a slightly larger size of jig by myself. I felt like I was on the starting line as an engineer.

A company that I can grow while learning

I had almost no CAD skills. Therefore, I had a hard time when I was just assigned. Even so, as I gained experience while looking at the manual and being taught by my seniors, I naturally acquired skills. Understanding of jigs and production lines deepen as the number of experiences increased. Now I can design jigs with complicated shapes by myself. I feel my own growth. In the future, I would like to challenge the overall design of the jig, which is a combination of several parts, and I would like to work on the support of the juniors who will come to our company as I had received them from my seniors. It is an environment where you can improve yourself as long as you have the motivation to learn and the spirit of challenge.
